Originally from Lubbock, Texas, Dusty graduated from Texas Tech University in 2003 with a BA in Finance and earned his MBA from Southern Methodist University in 2008. He started his career in the Wells Fargo Energy Group in Houston, TX developing his skills in oil and gas finance, underwriting senior debt transactions in the E&P and Midstream space, as well as gaining exposure to oil and gas reserve characteristics and basic field operations. After Wells Fargo, Dusty spent four years with Merit Energy where he excelled as a Senior Financial Analyst performing all aspects of hydrocarbon marketing for several regions and provided an analysis of production, costs, and business development evaluations used by Senior Management.
In 2010, Dusty joined the Energy Group at Sovereign Bank, progressing to Senior Vice President, where he originated and underwrote multi-million dollar credit facilities for E&P and midstream acquisitions and development capital. Dusty’s versatile background in E&P Finance, energy banking, and analytical skills are a valuable addition to the Steward team.
He currently resides in Frisco, Texas with his two young girls. Dusty is an avid outdoorsman and was a three-year letterman in baseball for Texas Tech, earning 1st Team Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2003.
